From the 1st September 2011 we are reducing our microchip price to £19.98.  We register our chips on line within 24 hours of insertion, your pet is registered for life and the microchip will have been inserted by a veterinary surgeon or veterinary nurse.

The price reduction reflects our belief that microchipping is the best way to permanently identify your pet.  Our chips are ISO chips and are suitable for the Pet travel scheme both now and when it changes in January 2012.

We are delighted to announce that both Melissa and Karen have passed the final written paper of the Registered Veterinary Nursing course with very high marks and will be sitting their practical exams in March 2012.

We are also pleased to be able to annouce that Victoria Hutchison BSc BVetMed MRCVS will be joining the veterinary team from the 19th of September.

With the summer nearly over and Autumn fast approaching now is the time to think about Fireworks Night and to plan for those pets who find this time frightening.  Adaptil (previously called DAP) is a plug in pheromone releasing product that helps dogs to feel calmer and Feliway is the cat equivalent both of there work best when they have been pluged in for at least 4 weeks prior to fireworks night.  These plug ins can combined with Zylkene a nutraceutical that helps animals to feel calmer and to cope with the noise of the fireworks without the need for sedation.  If you would like to consider either or both of these solutions with your pet please come in and discuss them with our vets.
